CMOs Focus On New Marketing Technologies (MarTech) During COVID-19
Innovations created in the marketing space to deal with the pandemic are here to stay. A whopping 96% of survey participants in a recent Merkle study said the marketing and service innovations companies are adapting to will likely be permanent.
Of the 400 marketing professionals surveyed, 50% said the pandemic has forced them to try new marketing technologies or features. Close behind, 45% said recent market conditions have marketing messages becoming more consumer centric. At 42%, developing new transaction fulfillment capability is also helping marketing strategies stay relevant. Reaching customers is proving more difficult, so 39% are adding a new marketing channel to meet people where they are.
Necessity is the mother of invention. To survive and thrive during a pandemic and economic downturn, companies have adapted. Instead of reverting to outdated methods, marketing professionals are holding onto hard fought innovation and continuing to evolve.
